Afran Alwafaa Alhadeetha

Concept Note

Afran akwafaa Alhadeetha is a Lebanese local bakery that sells their products in the market. Compared to their competitors, their package is what makes them lose the track of competition.
Analyzing the package, I realized that most of the time nylon bags aren’t strong enough to keep the product safe from being broken, in addition to that it gives a hard time to stand well on the shelves. I decided to change the structural package from a normal nylon bag closed with a wire, to a cartoon box to keep the product safe from external shocks and to stand proudly on the shelves of the market.
Looking at the old package, the logo needed to be lifted. To speak the target audience well the new logo took a more friendly modern approach. The new logo has almost the same layout of the old one. A new organic lettering broke the geometry of the previous font. Previously the logo had a geometric static wheat grain icon with a lot of surrounding unneeded details, now this wheat is more organic, iconic and has the looks of a healthy happy person raising his hands up.
The colors are a recognizable element, so I kept them, I only puffed them a little to create a better color pallet
The new package replaced the old wheat grain illustration with a pattern that shows what a Lebanese person eat kaak with. The story of the Lebanese and Kaak is a long one, been happening for a long long time. With the invention of Kaak, the Lebanese was soo certain. Every time he started to create new, distinctive ways to eat Kaak. Once with tea at the evening, with milk at breakfast, and even with the hot Sahlab... It didn’t stop here... He went beyond... He persisted to eat it with Labneh and even put it in some of his cooks.
The old package lacked some important information such as Nutrition facts, Net weight and flavor, something the new package had to have.
The cartoon box of the new package is made of recyclable cardboard, Light beige color to fit the vibes of the brand.  In addition to that, the box has a nylon window to show the fresh good looking kaak inside.
